The dark side of CARE is being SCARED and that’s surely not an advantage.

This was the very first Sherlock design I made, and it’s still my favourite.

I was pondering about Mycroft’s line: Care is Not an Advantage. It occurred to me that if we care about someone, we fear that something bad may happen to that person, or that we may lose him/her. That our care won’t be returned. That we would get addicted to whatever we care about and won’t be able to live without it.

All hearts are broken, all lives end. Caring seems to contain a persisting threat of pain.
